If you would like to get involved with the festival and have a lot of fun, you've come to the right place.

The TD Canada Trust Irie Music Festival promises to be the perfect addition to the festivities of Caribana with a four-day festival at Nathan Phillips Square, Queens Park and Ontario Place.

We are in need of dynamic and hardworking volunteers to help make the Irie Music Festival happen.

We ask for a minimum of two eight hour shifts and in return you receive an IRIE Volunteer T-shirt, an incredible work experience and the chance to work with a great group of people.

Volunteers are required to attend a mandatory registration session prior to the festival. You will be contacted with the details of the registration session.


Volunteer Opportunities:

Stage Crew:
Assist the Stage Managers with the backstage area including artist equipment. You should be available all day, as rotating shifts will be assigned. Previous stage experience would be beneficial. You should be familiar with live music setting, communicate effectively and have great time management and organizational skills.


Set-up Crew:
Assist with the set-up of the site including tents, barricades, banners, etc. You must be responsible, courteous and have an excellent attitude.


Security:
You will assist with security in all areas within the Festival site. You must be professional and responsible. You are not expected to get physical in the event of a dispute. You must be able to handle all situations in a calm and friendly manner.


Information Crew:
You will be responsible for providing information for Festival patrons as well as handling lost children and managing the lost & found. You should be a friendly, outgoing and adaptable person. Bilingualism is an asset.


Merchandising Crew:
You will be responsible for selling both Performer and IRIE products. In this position you will process all payments, log each sale, manage inventory and keep track of performers consignments. To do this you must have previous cash experience. You are responsible, professional, friendly and able to handle multiple transactions.


Clean-up Crew:
You will be responsible for keeping the Festival site clean during the festival as well as assist with tear-down of the site at the end of the festival. You must be responsible, courteous and have an excellent attitude.


Float:
You will help out wherever help is needed. This position would be ideal for someone who likes to move around a lot. To do this you should be capable, flexible and adaptable to multiple situations.

Beer Garden Crew:
You will be responsible for stocking and maintaining the Beer Garden as well as collecting beverage tickets and serving beverages. You must be 19 years of age or older. Experience in beverage service and Smart Serve training is preferred. Standing for long periods of time may be required.

Talent Hospitality Crew:
This crew will be responsible for ensuring that all non-technical needs of the artists are met i.e. change rooms, meals, ground transportation etc. This position requires a lot of tact and professionalism especially when dealing with artists. You should be able to communicate effectively in a professional and friendly manner. You are personable and outgoing.

Sponsor Relations Crew:
This crew will be responsible for ensuring that our sponsors' needs are met. This may include putting sponsors' signage up and help sponsors set up booths and displays. Strong communication skills and maturity and decorum are needed for this position.
