General Information
The 8th Annual TD Canada Trust Irie Music Festival will make waves again this summer when the popular reggae and global music attraction returns to Nathan Phillips Square, and Queen's Park North. Taste of The Tropics, a culinary extravaganza showcasing food from the tropical regions around the world, will take place at Queen's Park North on August 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The IRIE Reggae Boat Cruise takes place on July 30th and is our newest addition to this great festival. The five-day IRIE extravaganza featuring music, food and culture at two downtown locations will take place from July 31st through August 3rd, 2009.
Created as a unifying symbol of Toronto's diversity, the TD Canada Trust Irie Music Festival is an opportunity to promote a greater understanding between the diverse cultures and traditions of our world-class city. The Festival encompasses a wide variety of activities including:

About the IRIE Reggae Cruise

Join us as we sail on the TD Canada Trust IRIE Music Festival's exciting dinner, dance cruise aboard the Aurora Borealis. Set sail at 7p.m. on our inaugural cuise on Thursday, July 30th for a leisurely time around Toronto Harbour. Groove to the sounds of DJs spinning classic and contemporary Reggae, Soca and more. Cruise includes delicious hors d'ouevres, a mouth-watering choice of Caribbean styled main course meal, an array of desserts, and all the fun you can pack into four hours on the water. About Queen's Park North

Queen's Park is the newest venue to feature IRIE activities. The venue will feature live music, dance presentations, arts & craft vendors, a wine & beer garden and Taste of the Tropics, Irie's city picnic. The relaxed urban setting of Queen's Park is an ideal location for A Taste of The Tropics. It is easily accessible via public transit and has been a favourite venue for a variety of festivals, parades and marches throughout it's history.
